Srinagar, February 08 (KNO) : Former chief minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mehbooba Mufti Friday said it seems that Governor Satya Pal Malik is peddling Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) agenda in the State. Mehbooba in a tweet said that it seems that Governor Satya Pal Malik is peddling Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) agenda in the State by ignoring other equally deserving regions. However, she welcomed the creation of separate administrative division for Leh. Nonetheless, she as per KNO further stated that ignoring Pir Panchal and Chenab valley raises questions about the Centre’s intention. "Creation of a separate administrative division for Leh is a welcome step. However ignoring Pir Panchal & Chenab valley raises questions about the Centre’s intention. Seems like Guv sb is peddling BJPs agenda by ignoring other equally deserving regions," Mehbooba said. Pertinently, Jammu and Kashmir Government this afternoon approved creation of a separate Administrative/ Revenue Division for Ladakh. This division will comprise Leh and Kargil Districts with its headquarters at Leh. The Government has also approved creation of the posts of Divisional Commissioner (Ladakh), Lehand Inspector General of Police (Ladakh), Leh. Further, a committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary to Government, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department to identify the posts of divisional level heads of various departments that may be required for the new Division; particularly their staffing pattern, role and responsibilities and proposed location of these offices.(KNO)
